Parliament has established a Select Committee to consider the Repeal of Sex Work Offences Bill. The Committee is calling for submissions from the public by Friday, 7 May 2021. Anyone can make a submission to the Committee.
A submission can be as simple as an email or a letter. You don’t need to be a legal expert of academic, every submission supporting decriminalisation helps!
Whether you are a sex worker, client, ally or part of an organisation that supports sex worker’s rights, you can make an impactful submission to support this important law reform.
SIDAC created an information pack to assist in preparing submissions. You can download & get writing!
We also has a range of factsheets full of information about the impacts of criminalisation, the benefits of decriminalisation and the latest evidence from places around the world that employ the Nordic Criminal model. To view SIDAC’s factsheet visit our ‘Resources’ page.
Join experienced SIDAC volunteers in a submission workshop. Open for all allies, organisations and sex workers looking for advice, guidance and support on submitting to the Select Committee on the Repeal of Sex Work Offences.
